WHEN the pressure's on at Argy Tyres, it's good news for motorists.
Checking tyre pressure, like all aspects of tyre care, is a priority for the staff at the centre, which has opened on the corner of Donald and Swan streets, Hamilton.
`Pressure checks are particularly important before people go on long trips,' said Geoff Spruce who runs the Hamilton centre.
His brother, Mark, is in charge of Argy Tyres at Glendale which the brothers opened in 1981.
Pressure checks are provided as a free service at the Hamilton centre.
The large, refurbished premises stock a big range of leading Australian and imported tyres as well as an extensive range of mag wheels, including chromes.
Services are available for all shapes and sizes of vehicles, from small cars to large trucks.
They include electronic wheel balancing, wheel alignment service, brakes and mufflers, and a range of exhaust work.
Tow bars and mufflers are fitted as well as supplied at Argy Tyres.
Registration and LPG inspections are among the other services carried out by the staff at the centre.
Mr Spruce said general tyre care which should be observed by drivers included wheel rotation and balancing which needed to be done every 10,000km.
He said Argy Tyres had the latest computerised equipment for services such as wheel alignment.
While-you-wait service is available, with a waiting area provided for customers.
